As well as my counselling qualification, I have a philosophy degree. I've always been interested in how we interact with each other and our environment. I'm training to become a Certified Transactional Analyst - a psychotherapist - at the Metanoia Institute in London. This means I can offer both short and long term work. I am a Member of the BACP and abide by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a Member of the Institute of Transactional Analysis. I am qualifed to work with young people from the age of 11 (I'm CRB checked) and adults of all ages. I have trained in enabling clients to express themselves in ways that are comfortable for them. Some like being able to just have a private space and make use of the only time in the week that is dedicated to them. I have also learnt that sometimes working with other materials and objects helps people feel easier that they are not themselves "under a spotlight". I have specialised and am qualified in helping clients understand and overcome: * Stress - what's the cause and how to bust it * Relationship issues * Panic Attacks * Anxiety * Bereavement * Depression * Fear * Loss of direction and Redundancy * Self harm * Childhood sexual abuse * Bullying in the workplace |
