I'm a trained person-centred therapist working near Winchester with solid experience of counselling a variety of people and issues, in a caring, constructive and outcome-dedicated approach.
As a counsellor my brief is to work alongside clients enabling clearer thinking and feeling and overcoming obstacles. At a first session we look at what is going on for you right now...people choose therapy for a variety of reasons: Stress, Panic Attacks, Divorce Recovery, Bullying, Separation, Loss, Bereavement, Anxiety. Sometimes people just want a private space that is simply theirs to explore strong or confused feelings.
What's vital is that you feel there is a fit with the counsellor you choose to work with...I believe in everyone feeling enabled to get what they want. We can explore issues in a variety of ways. I combine a cognitive perspective with supportive counselling to help reach a different view. The process really is about how you can feel ok in widening your life choices.
