Counselling and talking therapy in Alresford and Winchester, Hampshire with Caroline Westley Welcome I'm a person-centred trained counsellor based near Winchester with solid experience of working with a variety of people and issues, in a caring, constructive and outcome-dedicated approach. Person-centred counselling has the core belief that given the right opportunities people can realise their potential and overcome obstacles to feeling clearer or more content. At a first session we both look at what is going on right now for you...people come for many and varied reasons: Stress, Panic Attacks, Divorce Recovery, Bullying, Separation, Loss, Bereavement, Anxiety. Sometimes people just want a private space that is simply theirs to explore strong or confused feelings. What's vital is that you feel there is a fit with the counsellor you choose to work with...I believe in everyone being enabled to get what they want. We can explore issues in a variety of ways too, not just talking, that could include artwork, visualisation, stone work, clay modelling, relaxation techniques. Cognitive behavioural therapy can be part of this, combined with a humanistic approach to help reach a different perspective. The process really is about how you can feel ok in widening your life choices.
